Angel Investors
Welcome Northern Ontario Angel Investors
NOEG facilitates the linkage between Northern Ontario entrepreneurs and Northern Ontario Angel Investors.
Investor members of NOEG angel groups are individuals who meet the "Accredited Investor" criteria as defined by Ontario Securities Commission and who are interested in investing in private enterprises and mentoring entrepreneurs to help them get their businesses to the next level and become the next generation of world class businesses.
Angel member identifications are held in the strictest of confidence.
NOEG provides angel investor members with key investment information, resources and tools to improve investor success. For example, NOEG, together with the National Angel Organization, has developed a series of seven modules of valuable “best practices” information for angel investors. These modules along with other information and resources specifically for angel investors can be found in the secure, private password protected “investors only” section of this website.

Member Benefits
One of NOEG's goals is to see the best private companies Northern Ontario has to offer. Although many apply, only companies screened that fit the angel investment criteria are forwarded on to members. Members are encouraged to refer attractive opportunities to the Angel Investment Groups to enhance deal flow to all members.
Members have the opportunity to meet other successful local business leaders (active and retired) at angel events and meetings. Events are for accredited investors only.
Co-investing helps mitigate risk and provides angel members with increased economic power in order to invest in a number of deals.
Angel members draw from the collective experience and insights of the group in determining the investment worthiness of a potential deal.
Seasoned and new investors can gain access to seven modules of angel investor information ranging from term sheet structuring, due diligence and valuation negotiation to exit strategies. Prepared in collaboration with the National Angel Organization, these modules contain best angel practices that every angel investor should know.
By gathering a larger group of investors, angel groups enable companies to raise larger amounts of capital at the angel round. This allows our members to practice a portfolio strategy and diversify their investments without requiring any one of them to individually commit a significant amount to any one particular company.
By offering a significant pool of capital and connections of interested members via an efficient process and clean deal structure, investors are able to negotiate more attractive terms and valuation with applicant companies.
